updating from lts to lts is maybe possible but if you break it you have no working system…better is to create a new/fresh system and configure this leaving the old as backup till all is configured
for reading out board you can use devicetree if you have a kernel using this (most arm/arm64)
cat /sys/firmware/devicetree/base/compatible
in my case it shows

if you have bananapi-r2 or r64 you can look in my wiki on how to create an ubuntu image, and only need to change it a bit to get 20.4 (focal)
If you still want armbian,you can look in their repo…maybe they have a focal image

i don’t know this board, and here is R2/r64 thread of bananapi only. only the bananapi board can be posted here but in different section (@sinovoip can you change section to bananapi 1?). i had one old bananapi, but after this has some ethernet-issues i dropped it
