BPI-F2P Instructions are all over the place

I ordered the BPI-F2P, and I can’t help but wonder why in the world are the directions all over the place. So many links to follow, the WiKi for it does not even talk about how to take a image and stick it on eMMC with the exception of heading over to https://sunplus-tibbo.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/doc/pages/506757122/2.+HOW+TO+GET+SOURCE+FILE+AND+PACKAGE page.

Then a whole can of worms opens. Why isn’t there just a simple clear cut way to download a .img file. Then using balenaEtcher copy it to a uSD card and then install it on eMMC ? Why so many hoops to jump through ?
