Did it work for you? Since they seem to have it fixed just recently: BPI-M2 Ultra github have update eMMC boot code

we have update image , 2016-11029 version all support eMMC function.

How to update already existing installations so that installation on eMMC works?

Write the image to eMMC and shutdown your BPi. Now reboot :wink:

Funny. I was asking how to update already existing OS images and not how to use a new one. Do they provide upgrade mechanisms? I fear they don’t since they release every few days new OS images instead of providing usual update paths (eg apt update|upgrade)
