BPI-M3: Help needed installing base images

Hi, please view my post that teach you how to resolve your problem. I have spent a lot of time to search this solution and work 100%.

M3 -- Os to sd problem for all

For all who have problem to write an .img file to sd I've try this way and is 100% Ok with "-" file. 1- download any zip.OS to your desktop 2- open the zip file to view inside the zip 3- simply drag and drop to you desktop with windows (I use virtualbox on linux to make this) 4- rename the "-" file in to"YOURFILE.img" 5- with linux you can simply use Disk to write .img on your sd card That's it !!![image]

I have spent a lot of time to search this solution and work 100%.

Unfortunately your ‘solution’ neither works for OS X users (since @sinovoip provides incompatible ZIP archives) nor for Windows users that use FAT32 (4GB size limitation so you end up with corrupted images anyway since @sinovoip provides only bloated and large images exceeding this size instead of resizing fs/partitions and do an auto resize on first boot)

what a pity…my solution is for linux users…'cause I only use linux Mint and windows 7 on Virtualbox. I will try with Osx soon.
