are there any updates to this? it doesnt work on my unit, the older version does but with glitches.

I am already using this image… just connect a USB Harddrive… setup samba share or nfs share… copy a big amount of data to/from the harddrive… you will see that the device will reconnect as read only on a different device path…

This board, as it is right now, is not usable as a storage server… please prepare a functional kernel… if a device tree for kernel 4.x would be available, I am pretty sure the community would help to fix the rest…

Oh no, I’ve just bought my Ultra and was about to put mate onto it. Realise this is a preview3, but didn’t expect the most simple of operations (copying) to be broke. Is an update/fix coming out soon for this? Who is working on the images? Is raspbian image more stable?

Any comment from the bpi team?

Have been using ubuntu mate for a few days now… seems to lock up or slow down at random. Using the mate desktop and firefox browser seems very laggy… few seconds between tabs… am sure my pi3 is quicker than this. Hope an update comes out soon.

UPDATE - just connected a USB key and it came on with one config under sudo fdisk -l, then a few minutes later it changed to dev/sda and i get this when i try and mount

Failed to mount ‘/dev/sda’: Invalid argument The device ‘/dev/sda’ doesn’t seem to have a valid NTFS. Maybe the wrong device is used? Or the whole disk instead of a partition (e.g. /dev/sda, not /dev/sda1)? Or the other way around?

not good.
