I’m from Dalian,China and been working with Allwinner boards for around 5 years started with Allwinner Media Box A1000

  • I mainly developing XBMC media player on it.

  • I also have an A20 based BPi board which providing SATA port and works great as a NAS Downloader and Media Player.

  • I hope R40 could work better with Kodi as a Box platform.

Hi, I am very interested in R40 development board to replace the A20(M1). I come from Taiwan.

  • Who are you and why did you choose Allwinner in the first place? It is cheap and high performance to afford, so I give up Raspberry PI before.

  • What did you do with your Allwinner powered development board? I use it to compete a game on the ICKEY forum. But the complex design didn’t make sense to the judge, I got 2nd. People often say that it is the best one. You could see more information on http://bbs.ickey.cn/community/thread-65529-1-1.html The video could be re-upload to Youtube.

  • What are your expectations for Allwinner’s latest open source platform, the R40? There is a highlight on original SATA Bus, and it seems to be a replacement for A20(M1), my projects can be redeployed on R40, make it more effective.
