Hello

Now, I try 2018-03-14-ubuntu-17.10-mate-desktop-v1.0-motion-bpi-r2-sd-emmc.img I don’t found the password ! bananapi it’s not good.

where do you find this image? which usernames do you tried? only root or also pi?

where ? Here https://dev.banana-pi.org.cn/Image/BPI-R2/ There a link in your sheet : http://www.fw-web.de/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=en/bpi-r2/start

Now, I have your ubuntu (I have a SD card with your debian, a other with armbian). I think that’s ubuntu is easy. 2 clicks and it’s connected to my wifi, the HDMI work at the first boot !

in my debian you have no xserver installed (cause less people want it on a router) but you have a newer kernel and framebuffer-support (console over hdmi) if you configure your resolution in uenv.txt

For wifi there are 2 modes…client (echo 1) and accesspoint (echo a)…it seems that ubuntu sets it to client if you connected to your existing wifi

I need framebuffer-support (console over hdmi) when I try to understand the BPI-R2.

I did not know about the wifi client. Where is it written? I, ubuntu, I have see a menu for do a accesspoint. The client wifi works. I think to make a new topic to speak only with the network with ubuntu. But, now I go to work.
